RaceWire | Run for Runway

The first annual Run for Runway is a 5K Fun Run/Walk benefitting Runway for Recovery, a 501(c)3 organization that provides a continuum of support to families impacted by breast cancer.

This inaugural event is family-friendly and serves as an opportunity to lift up local families that are living with a stage IV, metastatic breast cancer diagnosis or who have had a parent/guardian pass away from the disease.

The funds raised at this event will benefit the Runway for Recovery Family Grants program, specifically the Linda K. Cohen Tuition Fund. The financial burden of a cancer diagnosis or loss of a parent can upend a child’s educational trajectory, whether because of financial limitations, a move to a new district, or other unforeseen circumstances. The Linda K. Cohen Fund was established to help children in a "make-or-break" educational situation to help those in need of an alternative educational environment.

Runway swag will be awarded to the top three finishers.
